Infrastructure

Operational credibility is not optional.

The difference between a trading strategy and an investable fund is infrastructure: custody that segregates and protects assets, settlement that connects to the regulated banking system, and reporting that can be independently verified. Wesvel funds are offered only to accredited investors and qualified purchasers.

Custody

Wesvel holds digital assets on Fireblocks’ institutional custody infrastructure.

Fireblocks uses multi-party computation for key management: private keys are never assembled in full in any single location. Key shares are held in hardware-isolated secure enclaves. Transaction authorization runs through a configurable policy engine, also enclave-isolated, that enforces approval quorums, whitelisted destinations, and separation of duties between trading and withdrawal authority.

Each Wesvel fund is held in segregated vault accounts. Assets are not commingled across vehicles.

Fireblocks maintains SOC 2 Type II and SOC 1 attestations, ISO 27001, 27017, and 27018 certifications, and CryptoCurrency Security Standard QSP Level 3 certification. Its platform is subject to independent penetration testing and cryptographic review.

Settlement

Fiat on-ramp and off-ramp runs through N3XT, a Wyoming Special Purpose Depository Institution.

N3XT is a chartered, full-reserve bank. Deposits are backed one-to-one by cash and short-term US Treasuries. It does not lend. It is examined by Wyoming state banking authorities and publishes its securities portfolio daily.

For eligible investors in Wesvel funds, subscriptions and redemptions settle through a regulated banking institution rather than through an unregulated intermediary.

Fund administration and audit

Net asset value is calculated by an independent fund administrator, which maintains the official books and records of each fund and produces investor capital account statements.

Annual financial statements are audited by an independent accounting firm. The offshore vehicle is additionally audited by a CIMA-approved auditor as required under Cayman Islands law.

Investor reporting

Investors access a dedicated portal providing capital account balances, NAV history, position-level holdings, strategy-level exposure, capital activity, and fund documents including audited financials and tax reporting.

Regulation

Several of the rules that govern this infrastructure are still being written: the modernization of the US custody rule for digital assets, the federal framework for payment stablecoins, and the oversight of derivatives and event contract venues. Wesvel builds to the standard those rules are converging on and tracks each with counsel.

Risk controls

Position-level exposure limits by strategy, asset, protocol, chain, and venue. Continuous monitoring of collateral health on leveraged positions. Counterparty exposure limits by venue. Protocol diligence before any capital deployment. Separation between execution authority and withdrawal authority. Address whitelisting with multi-party approval.
