Phil Gallina

Phil founded Wesvel after two founder-led exits, bringing an operator’s view to a market that is still being built. He co-leads the firm’s investment activity and is responsible for its systematic trading and digital asset strategies: the market-neutral, derivatives and perpetuals books that pair automated execution with market-structure research.

He designed the proprietary underwriting and risk tools that size every Wesvel position and lending facility, from the limit framework that governs exposure by strategy, asset, protocol and venue to the collateral models behind the private credit book.

His network supplies much of the firm’s emerging-market deal flow and its access to pre-IPO positions and structured debt, and he leads the relationships with the venues and counterparties the trading book depends on.
